Birdville ISD library programs collaborate and partner with our city public libraries to provide access to additional programs and resources for students.
Our Birdville Portal is a single sign-on (SSO) platform for our district. It acts like a personalized dashboard where students and teachers can access all of their digital resources, apps, and files with just one login.
Parents and guardians are also encouraged to communicate with the campus librarian and their child’s teacher about special considerations regarding library materials that have been self-selected by their student. In accordance with state law and administrative procedures, parents or guardians may select alternative library materials for their student.
Parents can access the Library Catalog from any campus library webpage.
The Library Catalog can also be accessed by logging into the BISD Online student portal with their student’s account.
Parents can access their student(s) Sora eBook catalog and checkout history through the BISD Online Student Portal at my.birdvilleschools.net
Log into the Portal with your student's account and click on Sora.
Battle of the Books is a district Elementary K-5 academic competition to encourage children to read and become familiar with excellent literature. Birdville elementary librarians develop a primary and intermediate list of books for students to read each year. Campuses form two teams of seven students on each team (Primary Team K-3 and Intermediate Team 4th - 5th). Students read the books and become experts. The teams practices and study until they compete in February.
